- New features in version 1.1 of JRCSIM
- -------------------------------------
-
-
- Textured Sky and Mountains at horizon.
-
- Version 1.0 gave little visual information of your relative height or
- change of height, when above the grasslimit. The new sky and mountain
- files improves this.
- Thanks to Leo Sutic for generating the Sky Image for his raycast demo,
- I simply nicked it from there.
-
- Palette Changed.
-
- Due to the new bitmaps included, the palette has been changed. This
- influences the colors of the plane model. I like the new colors
- actually, but you can of course change them if you like. A utility to
- view the palette is included, use VIEWPAL.EXE to see the palette.
-
- Better Hidden faces removal routine.
-
- The hidden faces removal has been improved. This enhances the visual
- image of the plane model and an statics.
-
- Scalable model.
-
- Hard to see the plane ? Now fixed as you can scale the model by
- appending a scale factor at the end of the .POL data file. See the
- new .POL files for examples. Note that if you scale the model up more
- than 5 or 6 times, the program might slow down slightly, but more
- importantly, the model might be clipped out of view when too close.
-
- Fixed handling of yaw in joystick routine.
-
- A slight inconvenience made it difficult to adjust a Yaw joystick or
- rudder pedals correctly. This fix is now implemented on all joystick
- input.
- The calibration of the joystick routine has also been made graphic.
-
-
- Fixed some bugs.
-
- Nasty suckers. Probably more to come.
-
-
- Flight Information Bars.
-
- Oops, forgot to mention those in the version 1.0 doc. See the updated
- doc about these.
-
-
- Added FPS printout.
-
- When you terminate the program, a display of Frames per Second is
- displayed. This gives you an idea of how fast your machine is.
- On my 486DX/50 with a Trident 8900cl Graphics Card, I get 32 FPS.
-
-
-
- That's it for now, keep flying.
